A sign or panel that survives winter, sun and wind without warping or fading: it all comes down to the choice of material and inks. Here's an overview of the materials we use for outdoor projects.

Rigid panels

• Akilux (corrugated polypropylene): lightweight and budget-friendly, perfect for temporary signage and site hoardings.
• PVC / Forex: rigid and versatile, ideal for plaques and semi-permanent signage.
• Dibond (aluminium composite): the benchmark for durable signage: rigid, warp-free, sleek and built to last for years.

Tarpaulins and banners

Eyeletted PVC tarpaulin is unbeatable for large temporary formats: building work frontages, events, banners. Resistant to wind and rain, it can be stored away and reused.

Vinyl graphics and window displays

To dress up a shop window, door or wall: cut vinyl, frosted film, lettering. Applied over an existing surface, they're discreet and effective. Outdoors, we choose a UV-laminated vinyl to prevent fading.

The secret to durability: inks and application

A good material isn't enough on its own: UV-resistant inks keep colours stable over time, and a careful application prevents peeling and water ingress. This is where a local printer's experience makes all the difference.
