A format that unfolds, for every use

The leaflet packs a lot of information into a pocket-sized format. Folded, it slips into a display stand, an envelope or a bag; unfolded, it offers a genuine reading surface. Restaurant owners turn them into menus and wine lists, shops into presentation brochures, tourist offices into circuit leaflets, and organisers into programmes for events or seasons. The choice of fold shapes your story:

• Roll fold (or wrap fold): 6 panels that tuck into one another, perfect for a classic sales brochure;
• Accordion fold (Z-fold or fan-fold): panels folded in alternating directions, ideal panoramic reading for a programme or a timeline;
• Gate fold (centre-opening): two flaps that close towards the middle, a polished opening effect for a menu or an invitation;
• Cross fold: folded in two directions for a large-format foldout map or plan;
• from 2 to 8 panels, from a simple centre fold to four folds, depending on the amount of content;
• common A4, A5, DL, square formats when open, folded down to pocket or third size;
• gloss, matt or recycled coated paper, from 135 to 350 g;

Creasing heavier stocks: the detail that changes everything

On thick paper (from around 170 g upwards), a simple fold cracks the ink and breaks the fibres. That's where creasing comes in: a groove is marked before folding to guide the fibres and produce a clean hinge, with no unsightly white cracking. This finishing know-how is essential on high-end menus and brochures. On the format side, we work out together the reading direction, the number of panels and the paper weight so everything falls into place. Short runs are possible with digital printing, with no plates: useful for a seasonal menu or a test run before a larger print.
