Which size for your photocall backdrop?
Size follows the number of people posing together. 200x200 cm frames one or two people head to toe without spilling over: the size for tight spaces, a hall entrance or a reception corridor.
240x200 cm widens the field at the same height; 240x240 cm lifts the top edge above heads even in stage dress, useful when the photographer cannot step back far.
290x240 cm takes a small group, a team or a panel of three to five.
290x290 cm is the awards and ceremony backdrop: margin in both directions, and forgiving of loose framing.
Double-sided printing and replacement prints
Single-sided printing covers most set-ups, placed against a wall. Double-sided earns its place in the middle of a room or in a hall walked through from both ends: two shooting positions instead of one, or partner artwork on one face and your own identity on the other. Order the backdrop with its frame, or the print alone if you are reusing the frame from a previous event: a company that runs several evenings a year keeps one structure and changes only the printed face. Preparing your file
CMYK, 300 DPI, 2 mm bleed, 4 mm safety margin. Spread the logos across the whole surface rather than centring them: the people in shot cover the middle, and it is the edges that appear in the photograph. Avoid pure whites, which react strongly to flash.
