Which paper for your posters?
The site decides. Indoors, 135 g/m² gloss, matt or silk coated is enough for a board or a window: gloss lifts photography, matt kills reflections under a spotlight. For a poster that must stand on a grid or an easel, move up in weight to 150, 170, 250 or 350 g/m² silk coated. The 115 g/m² REH stock with its blue back is made for pasted billposting: the tinted reverse stops the wall showing through. Recycled 115 and 300 g/m² answer campaigns that want a plain, honest sheet. Finally, the textured papers — Rives Tradition and Rives Design at 250 g/m², Gmund Hanf at 320 and Gmund Stroh at 300 — carry a grain you can feel, which suits exhibitions and cultural announcements.
Available formats
Display sizes open the range: 30x40 (A3 equivalent) for a counter or a glazed door, 40x60 (A2 equivalent) and 50x70 for a shopfront or a lobby. Campaign sizes follow — 120x160, 240x160, 320x240 and 400x300 — built for hoardings and boards. Standard street furniture sizes are covered too: Métro at 150x100 and 200x150, bus shelter at 118.5x175, Morris column at 120x353. Three long formats complete the list, the straight bus side at 192x68 and the left and right stair ramps at 223x61.5. Everything is prepared in our advertising poster section, inside the wider poster range.
Single or double-sided printing
Most posters are printed on one side. Double-sided printing makes sense when the sheet hangs in a window and is read from both sides; choose a heavier weight then, so the reverse shows through less.
Preparing your file
Export a 300 DPI PDF in CMYK, with 2 mm bleed and a 4 mm safety margin. On very large sizes, artwork built to a reduced scale is fine as long as the proportions match exactly. Keep text well inside the edges: a pasted or stretched poster always loses a few millimetres. Outline your fonts.
