Which paper for your greeting cards?
A greeting card is handled, propped on a desk and kept in sight for weeks. Silk coated 350 gsm stands up on its own and renders colour without harsh reflections. Recycled 300 gsm and Raw kraft 283 gsm carry a natural shade that suits line illustrations and fine typography. Rives Tradition and Rives Design at 250 gsm add a grain you can feel. Gmund Hanf 320 gsm, Gmund Wheat 300 gsm and Crush Maize 350 gsm keep their plant fibres visible, which fits a message about commitment. On textured stocks, foiling reads better than a full colour flood.
Available formats
DL, landscape or portrait, suits corporate greetings sent in a long envelope alongside a letter.
A5 and A5 portrait give a generous surface for a full-page illustration or a longer text.
A6, portrait or landscape, is the classic postcard-style greeting, easy to stamp and post.

Finishes and double-sided printing
A flat card prints on one or both sides. A single fold gives a folded card: illustrated cover, blank inside for a handwritten line. Spot UV, flat or 3D, catches the light on a motif or a year; gold and silver foiling bring a festive note. Gloss, matt or soft touch lamination protects the card in transit. White, blue, pink, gold or silver envelopes are chosen at the same step, within our cards range.
Preparing your artwork
Export at 300 DPI in CMYK, with 2 mm bleed and a 4 mm safety margin. On the round format, keep text a little further from the edge still: a circular cut is unforgiving with tight alignments. Outline fonts and isolate spot UV or foil areas on their own layer.
