Which paper for your door hangers?
Door hangers hang free and get handled several times a day, so the board has to stay flat. Both stocks are 350 g/m², a weight that resists curling on the handle. The matt coated board reflects no light, which keeps instructions readable under corridor lighting. The silk coated board keeps a slight sheen and gives photographs and solid colours more depth. Choose matt for written notices, silk for image-led designs.
Available formats
Door hangers are produced in a single size, 90 x 195 mm. This narrow vertical strip is tall enough to stack an image above a short line of copy, and slim enough to leave the door easy to open. It fits standard handles and stores flat, in batches, on a housekeeping trolley or under a counter. The rest of the range sits in our door hanger section.
Finishing and double-sided printing
The standard finish covers everyday use. The real decision is single versus double-sided: the reverse lets you flip a message — "Do not disturb" one way, "Please make up the room" the other — or carry two languages on one piece. In hotels and restaurants, door hangers usually share their typography and colours with the items used in the dining room.
Preparing your file
Supply a 300 DPI PDF in CMYK, with 2 mm bleed on every edge and a 4 mm safety margin. Keep text and logos away from the top of the piece, the area most exposed to handling. Outline your fonts before sending the file.
