Which paper suits your Wire-O brochure?
The 90 gsm offset stock is uncoated: it takes pen, throws back no glare and suits training booklets and manuals annotated on site. The 90 gsm silk keeps that lightness while sharpening images and small type. The 135 gsm silk thickens the page, cuts show-through between front and back and serves illustrated catalogues well. The 135 gsm gloss pushes saturation and surface detail on photographs, at the cost of reflections under direct light. The 130 gsm recycled sheet, softer in tone and more natural to the touch, fits institutional documents. The cover is a 300 gsm silk: plain it stays understated, matt laminated it calms the colours and resists fingerprints, gloss laminated it deepens contrast and protects a document that gets handled often.
Available sizes
One format here, but a telling one: A4 closed, A3 open. The spread can be used edge to edge, leaving room for a plan, a wide table or a full-width photograph without the binding crushing the centre. Extent is chosen in the configurator, from 10 to 154 pages, and the inside prints in black and white or in colour: a thick manual often works best with a colour cover and a black-only body. Finishing and Wire-O binding
Black metal rings are fitted on the left edge. The brochure turns like a book, yet every page folds all the way back until only one face remains visible. On a crowded workbench the difference from a glued spine is obvious: nothing springs shut when you let go of the page.
Preparing your artwork
300 DPI, CMYK, 2 mm of bleed and a 4 mm safety margin. Supply single pages in reading order and keep text away from the bound edge, where the punching runs. Check that backgrounds meant to cross a spread line up on both pages.
