Which paper for your pocket calendar?
Only one stock is offered, and for good reason: 350 g silk coated paper. At this size the card spends months in a wallet, wedged between a loyalty card and a receipt, and a lighter sheet would crease the first time it is put away. The 350 g holds its shape, and the silk coating stays readable without glare when it is pulled out in daylight. The surface also takes a pen, which bare gloss does not.
Available sizes
8.5x5.4 cm follows the credit card template: it fits anywhere and can be handed out in quantity at reception or at the till. The first folded version measures 17x5.4 cm open and 8.5x5.4 cm closed, opening sideways, with the calendar on one side and your services on the other. The second folded version, 8.5x10.8 cm open and 8.5x5.4 cm closed, unfolds vertically and leaves room for a full year in larger type. All three sit in our promotional calendar range.
Finishing, corners and double-sided printing
Print single sided, or double sided to free a whole face for your contact details. Lamination goes on the front only or on both sides, in matt or gloss, and it is what protects the card from rubbing and damp. Matt gives a soft, understated feel; gloss brings the colours forward. Corners can be square for a crisp look, or rounded so the card does not fray in a pocket.
Preparing your artwork
300 DPI, CMYK, 2 mm bleed, 4 mm safety margin. At this size keep legal wording at a readable point size, and pull text away from the fold on the folded versions.
