What artwork suits a custom printed deckchair?
The question here is the design, not the substrate. A deckchair is seen from a distance, usually lined up with ten others, and from very close by whoever is about to sit down. A simple motif, repeated or in wide stripes, works better than a busy image: the sling creases slightly under weight and fine detail disappears. Put the name of the venue in the upper part of the backrest, the only area still readable once the chair is occupied.
Available size
The sling is printed at 44x136 cm. That is the full strip, backrest and seat in one piece, so your design runs the whole length without a break at the hinge. Compose with the middle third in mind, since that is where the fabric dips once someone settles in.
Outdoors, with the rest of your kit
A deckchair is rarely alone. It shares a terrace with parasols and windbreaks, and a row of matching chairs states a brand far more calmly than a banner would. The full outdoor family is gathered in our outdoor advertising section, and the seating models in the custom deckchair section.
Preparing your file
Supply a 300 DPI CMYK file with 2 mm bleed and a 4 mm safety margin on all four sides. The edges of the sling wrap into the frame rails, so anything that must stay visible belongs inside that margin. Outline your logos to keep the edges crisp over such a long panel.
2M Numérique alongside you
Your deckchairs are prepared in our workshop at Manciet, in the Gers, made in Occitanie, in line with our responsible approach. A hotel, a campsite and a tourist office do not run the same quantities: let us talk it through before the design stage.
