A straight sail: for which messages?
Unlike the teardrop and the feather, the rectangular beach flag keeps its corners: the sail forms a complete rectangle, stretched between the pole and the cross bar. That gives you an even area where a layout holds without being distorted. It is the model to choose when the flag has to carry several lines — a headline, a trading name, a service note. It also handles photographic artwork, which curved shapes often crop badly. The complete range is shown in our beach flag section.
Available formats
Two heights are offered. At 2.89 m the flag stays close to the public: a branch entrance, the pavement in front of a shop, an exhibition aisle. At that height the lower part of the sail remains within a passer-by's field of view, which is what makes text genuinely readable. At 3.91 m it rises above a car park, a business park or a row of stands; there, favour large characters and strong contrast.
Bases and double-sided printing
Eight bases are available: a ground spike for soft ground, a car foot to slide under a wheel, a parasol foot, 9 kg and 13 kg plate bases for hard surfaces, stackable double 12 kg and triple 18 kg bases for exposed pitches, or no base at all for a replacement sail. Single-sided printing works against a wall; double-sided printing lets the message be read from both directions of traffic. You can also order the frame alone, or the print alone to refresh an existing set.
Preparing your file
Supply a 300 DPI PDF in CMYK, with 2 mm bleed and a 4 mm safety margin. The rectangle allows a conventional layout: build a clear hierarchy, leave visual space along the sleeve edge, and avoid small type below eye level. Outline your fonts.
