Which paper for your printed envelopes?
Two uncoated offset papers are offered. The 80 gsm is the everyday weight for business mail: light, it barely counts towards postal weight, which shows on a mailing or a monthly invoicing run. The 90 gsm is slightly more opaque and holds its shape better, so it is kept for letters that need to make an impression: contracts, invitations, tender replies. Both are uncoated, which means they take a pen and a rubber stamp, unlike a gloss stock. The full range sits in our envelope printing section.
Available sizes
DL (11 x 22 cm) takes an A4 sheet folded in three: the everyday format for quotes, invoices and covering letters. C5 (16.2 x 22.9 cm) holds an A4 folded in half or an A5 flat, useful for a document you would rather not crease twice. C4 (22.9 x 32.4 cm) takes an unfolded A4 with several sheets: files, brochures, administrative papers.
Window or no window
A window envelope shows the address already printed on the document, so nothing is copied out twice and nothing ends up in the wrong envelope — a real gain on bulk mailings. A plain envelope gives you a full front to design freely, which suits invitations and hand-addressed letters. Printing is single-sided.
Preparing your artwork
Work at 300 DPI in CMYK, with 2 mm bleed and a 4 mm safety margin. Leave the stamp position and the address area clear, and on a window model keep every graphic element away from the opening.
