Which material for your inflatable column?
The inflatable column is printed on a standard 210 gsm fabric with an M1 rating, a flexible material that tensions once the column is inflated and holds solid colours without visible creasing. The fabric folds down for transport and returns to shape when inflated, which is why one column can follow a whole season of events. One point to keep in mind at the design stage: the surface is cylindrical. A logo on one face only reads from one side, while a repeated pattern stays recognisable from any angle. Dimensions and structure
The structure is a 45 cm column, 220 cm high. That proportion puts it above a standing crowd while remaining easy to carry in a car boot. It frames an entrance, flanks a podium, marks a finish corridor or shows where a stand is on a large site. Two columns either side of a walkway create a gateway effect without heavy rigging. Base and accessories
The plate base adds stability on hard ground, terraces, car parks or paving, where nothing can be driven into the surface. Without a base the column stays lighter to carry and is secured to whatever anchor point is available. An electric blower can be ordered with the column, or left out if you already have one. On a full set-up, the column usually sits alongside branded gazebos and parasols in the same colours, all within our custom outdoor advertising range.
Preparing your artwork
Vector artwork is preferable, since it scales without loss. Otherwise supply a CMYK image at scale, at a resolution equivalent to 300 DPI at reduced size, with 2 mm bleed and a 4 mm safety margin. Outline your fonts. Bear in mind that the lower part of the column is sometimes hidden by the crowd.
