Which paper for your luxury business cards?
The choice is not about the printed face but about what lies underneath. The inner paper comes in black, turquoise blue or red, and it gives the card its character. Black is the quietest: it thickens the edge without shouting, and works with an identity that is already strong. Turquoise blue adds a clear note, often chosen in creative, consulting and digital work. Red commits further, drawing the eye to the edge, and suits identities that already use a bold colour. In every case the inner sheet should answer what you print on the front rather than be picked at random.
The available size
The luxury business card is made at 85 x 54 mm, the standard size. That is deliberate: the effect comes from thickness and from the coloured edge, not from an unusual shape. The card files like any other, in a cardholder or a wallet, and stands apart through its weight and the contrast of its edge. Configurations sit in our luxury business card section.
Single and double sided printing
Front only keeps the reverse neutral and puts everything on one side, the most graphic version, where the inner colour becomes the single counterpoint. Double sided uses both faces, one for the identity, the other for contact details or a short line. On a card this thick, double sided printing stays comfortable to read, since nothing shows through from one face to the other.
Preparing your file
Work at 300 DPI in CMYK, with 2 mm bleed, a 4 mm safety margin and fonts converted to outlines. Take the coloured edge into account in your layout: a light solid on the front will make it stand out, a dark solid will soften it.
2M Numerique at your side
The card is assembled and printed in the Gers: 100% Made In Occitanie, the local production described in our responsible approach. Other material options run across the card range, and we will help you match the inner colour to your artwork.
