Which board for your cardboard cube?
The cube is made from E-flute board with a white liner. E-flute is a fine flute: the surface stays even, with no pronounced ribbing, so solid colours and small type print cleanly. The white liner gives the inks a neutral base, and colours come out stronger than on brown board. It is the usual compromise for printed point-of-sale display seen at close range.
Available sizes
The 20x20x20 is the counter cube, sitting beside a till or a display without getting in the way. The 30x30x30 reads from the end of an aisle and marks a promotional area. The 40x40x40 becomes a floor object, alone or grouped in twos and threes to build a scene. The 50x50x50 is the attention piece: it marks an entrance, an activation area or the corner of a stand, and carries a full-bleed graphic.
Print and finish
Printing is single-sided on the visible faces, in the standard finish: the direct look of printed board, with no added coating. Cubes are often ordered as a set, one artwork per face, to tell a short story across the volume. Between two campaigns the cubes go back to flat sheets, so a shop can store a whole season of display in the space of a drawer. The rest of the range is in our cardboard cube section.
Preparing your artwork
Supply a 300 DPI file in CMYK, with 2 mm bleed and a 4 mm safety margin. Keep logos and text away from the edges of the cube: that is where the board folds, and anything sitting across an edge is visually cut in two.
