Which paper for your single-sheet calendar?
Everything rests on one sheet, so it rests on how that sheet behaves. The 250 g silk coated paper stays light, the right pick when the calendar travels in an envelope with your greetings or slides under a desk pad. The 350 g silk coated paper is stiffer, hangs straight once pinned and does not curl when taken down. Either way, silk avoids glare under ceiling lights and takes a pen, which matters: a year planner always ends up being written on.
Available sizes
A4 (21x29.7 cm) fits the twelve months with boxes still readable from a metre away, the size for a desk or a worktop. A5 (14.8x21 cm) works as an individual reminder, handed out in quantity or slipped into a mailing. Orientation follows the use: landscape spreads the months into wide columns, portrait stacks the quarters and frees a band for your image. Finishing and double-sided printing
Printed on one side, the year fills the whole sheet. Printed on both, the back takes your contact details, a location map or a second year. Lamination, matt or gloss, goes on the front only or on both sides, protecting the sheet from fingers and damp, which counts in a kitchen or a workshop. Bear in mind that gloss lamination makes handwriting difficult.
Preparing your artwork
300 DPI, CMYK, 2 mm bleed on every edge, 4 mm safety margin. For double-sided work, tell us how the sheet should turn, on the long or the short edge, so the back reads the right way up.
