Which board is used for the triangular cardboard totem?
The triangular cardboard totem is made from 390 g board. That weight is the balance point of the product: rigid enough for a 190 cm column to stand up through its own geometry, light enough for one person to carry it across a shop floor. The board folds cleanly, holds sharp edges and goes into paper recycling once the campaign is over. On this material, flat colour and large images give the best result, so keep fine detail for the areas people read up close.
The size available
The totem comes in a single format, 46.6 x 190 cm. The height lifts your message above the shelving and makes it visible from a shop entrance or from an exhibition aisle. The width stays modest, so the column fits at the end of an aisle, in a corner of a lobby, beside a till or in front of a window without blocking the way.
Its triangular section gives three printed faces, so the totem reads from any approach. You can run a sequence across them — an offer, an explanation, a contact — or repeat one image three times so it always faces the visitor.
Preparing your artwork
300 DPI, CMYK, 2 mm of bleed and a 4 mm safety margin. Keep text away from the folds: a sentence running over an edge becomes unreadable as soon as the column is seen at an angle. Place the key information between 1.20 m and 1.60 m from the floor, the band the eye scans while walking, and leave secondary details for the lower part.
