Which paper for your laminated restaurant menus?
One paper only, and that is deliberate: 170 g/m2 gloss coated gives the sharpest result on food photography and takes encapsulation well. Once sealed in film the sheet stays supple, so the card feels pleasant in the hand rather than stiff like board. It is the right balance for a document handled dozens of times a day.
Available sizes
A4 and A4 portrait hold the full card, with starters, mains and desserts on a single page.
A5 and A5 portrait suit the drinks list, the daily suggestions or a children's menu, easy to place on a table already laid.
A3 works as display: a card in the window, the lunch formula, prices readable from the door. Laminated at that size, it survives being carried in and out every day.
14x30 portrait is the tabletop stand format, useful for a short selection or a wine list.
Finishing and double-sided printing
Gloss encapsulation lifts the colours and makes cleaning easy; matt encapsulation cuts reflections under dining-room lighting. Printing both sides doubles the usable area without changing size. A single fold gives a two-panel card, a roll fold a three-panel menu that stands on the table. Both options belong to our hotels and restaurants range.
Preparing your file
Work at 300 DPI in CMYK, with 2 mm bleed on every edge and a 4 mm safety margin for text and rules. Outline your fonts before exporting.
